Describe Yourself:
I'm a retired Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Information Agency, which, thanks to the late, unlamented Jesse Helms, was dismembered after the Cold War and put into the State Dept. I'm in pretty good shape (walked across England in '06), but despite living in a walker's city (NY) am beginning to lose my edge! I have a good sense of humor, in a kind of editorial vein, and like a good laugh in an era where there's not enough to laugh about.
